Iconic brand, Molton Brown closed its first week at Northern Ireland’s designer outlet recording its best opening day sales performance to date for any pop-up.

The 1075 sq. ft. luxury store opened its doors at The Boulevard, Banbridge on 24th September, and exceeded all trading expectations.

Molton Brown is the tenth new retailer to set its sights on the designer outlet in the last 12 months. It joins the likes of Joules, Levi’s, and Crew Clothing, all recent additions to The Boulevard as well as the scheme’s long-established brands such as Nike, Adidas, Jack Wills, Timberland and GAP.

Chris Nelmes, Retail Director at The Boulevard commented:

“Since reopening back in June, trading conditions have been absolutely standout with footfall up 15% and many retailers enjoying a bigger total turnover per annum compared to 2019 – which is nothing short of astonishing given they were closed for almost a quarter of the year.

“The feedback we’re receiving from tenants as to how well their stores at The Boulevard have been performing compared to others across the UK and even Europe has been extremely encouraging so we’re not surprised by the outstanding performance from Molton Brown. It points to a trend of strong consumer confidence here in Northern Ireland, something we’ve been aware of pre-pandemic but even more so now post lockdown.

“Molton Brown is an iconic brand that we know complements our existing tenant base and matches perfectly with our shopper demographic. It will be a great addition to the scheme in the run up to Christmas”

Steve Clark, Retail Director, at Molton Brown said:

“Opening day at The Boulevard exceeded all expectations and we’re very impressed with the overall look and feel of the scheme and delighted with the appetite for the brand from NI consumers. For a pop-up to perform so well cements our decision to open and we look forward to the next few months here.”
