French designer eyewear brand, bloobloom, opens its flagship store at 30 James Street in Covent Garden with Mary Charteris and Simon Murphy DJing at the launch. The store is situated near Apple, Rituals and Tiffany & Co and boasts a spacious 600 sq ft across the ground floor. The independent brand will continue to bring eyewear innovation to consumers across London at affordable prices.
The new store houses bloobloom’s full collection of spectacles and sunglasses and offers customers the full experience from walk-in eye examinations with in-house opticians, adjustment and repair services as well as personalised style advice. bloobloom offers a range of women’s and men’s glasses with popular styles from Traveller, to Daydreamer, to Londoner and Designer. All glasses are handcrafted frames and made from sustainable materials.
The store opening is one of five new store openings which are the start of a wider expansion for the brand across the United Kingdom, which is set as part of a backdrop of strong growth.
Abbas Manai, Co-Founder at bloobloom says “London is the perfect location to launch bloobloom’s expansion as it’s such an iconic shopping destination. The city is where our target customer is and where we can tap into new customers. We are pleased with our current stores which gave us the confidence to expand to these additional areas in London where we can see a demand for our product. Our aim is to change, shape and develop the eyewear industry in the most efficient and affordable way. Our ‘Pair for a Pair’ scheme, as well as rewarding our returning customers with ‘Pay What You Can’, makes the brand stand out within the market. We want our brand to thrive on giving people cost-effective eyewear that is sustainable and stylish and are excited about the next chapter in the brand’s growth strategy”.
The design of the store has a clean sleek feel with a brick feature throughout. The store is located in a prime position at the main entrance into Covent Garden, close to Covent Garden tube station.
Prices start from £95, and keeping with the ethos the bloobloom store will be transparent about the true cost of the glasses and the markup when purchased.
bloobloom was founded by Abbas and Fares Manai in 2018. For every purchase made, a pair of glasses is donated to one of the world’s 2.5 billion people in need who don’t have access to eyecare as part of the brands ‘Pair for a Pair’ scheme. The ‘Pay What You Can’ loyalty scheme offers customers the choice to choose their second pair of spectacles or sunglasses from a tiered system.
The five new store openings in Covent Garden, Westfield White City, Battersea Power Station, Canary Wharf and Kings Road are the start of a wider expansion for the brand.
