  • Boots has unveiled its newly refurbished 64,000 sq ft store, featuring the retailer’s latest interior concept and an enhanced beauty proposition, centred around its most in-demand premium brands. Among those is Charlotte Tilbury, a brand available in just 2% of Boots stores nationwide. Its inclusion at Queensgate reflects the strength of catchment and customer profile, further cementing the centre’s position as the dominant retail destination in the region.
  • Meanwhile, Primark has completed an impressive full refurbishment of its 59,000 sq ft anchor store. The investment introduces a modernised store environment, an improved layout, and 18 new self-checkouts across both trading floors, creating a more efficient customer journey. The refurbishment showcases Primark’s latest fashion, beauty, and home collections, ensuring the retailer’s offer remains aligned with evolving customer expectations and the strong demand from Queensgate visitors.
  • Vision Express has also reopened its updated store in Central Mall, introducing a contemporary new design alongside enhanced clinical technology, including a new dry eye machine. The investment demonstrates the increasing importance of health and wellbeing services within leading retail destinations. Since relaunching, Vision Express has seen positive growth in sales and customer engagement, underlining the value of continued investment in existing retail locations.

Queensgate’s ability to attract leading brands and deliver what its visitors want is a clear indicator of the active asset management strategy.

Ed Ginn, Director of Investment Management at Invesco Real Estate, said: “The ongoing investment from our tenants has been transformative for Queensgate and is a key driver behind the growth across the scheme in recent months. Delivering the best customer experience and a market-leading retail offer has always been the priority, as well as ensuring visitors can shop the best brands including their latest concepts. Boots and Primark remain key anchor brands for the scheme, and Vision Express is delivering more experiential healthcare services, reinforcing the strength and quality of our tenant mix.”

Paul Niezawitowski, Beauty Director at Boots, said: “The refreshed store gives Queensgate visitors a whole new way to shop at Boots. The addition of key beauty counters, including Charlotte Tilbury, further enhances the customer experience and elevates our beauty offer. This investment in bricks-and-mortar retail reflects our wider strategy, recognising the important role our physical stores play in the continued growth of the Boots brand. As a key regional retail destination, Queensgate provides the ideal location to deliver an even more enhanced, modern shopping experience for our customers.”

This latest wave of tenant investment builds on the strong momentum at Queensgate, following a series of best-in-class openings including FRASERS, FLANNELS, Sports Direct, MINISO, Rituals and Lovisa, which have continued to strengthen the centre’s retail offer.
