A new destination for textured hair is set to open its first UK concept store and salon.
Tressly Studios is launching in London, designed exclusively for Afro, curly and coily hair. The studio reimagines the future of hair spaces by uniting independent professional hairstylists with a curated edit of innovative, culture-first hair brands often overlooked by traditional beauty retail, ensuring high-performance care tailored to the unique needs of textured hair.
With fewer than 0.01% of UK salons catering specifically to Afro and textured hair, the launch addresses a long-standing gap in the industry and sets a new benchmark for inclusive, design-led hair spaces in the capital.
Opening Saturday 7th March at Lewisham Shopping Centre, Tressly Studios will offer a modern, elevated salon and shopping experience where natural texture is celebrated, understood, and expertly cared for, and where both clients and independent hairstylists can flourish.

Thoughtfully designed as a calm, contemporary environment, clients can expect in-depth consultations, expert protective styling, personalised haircare advice and educational workshops, all tailored to their needs.
Founded by Antoinette Ale, CEO and Co-founder of Tressly Studios, the brand is underpinned by over 12 years of hair industry experience. Antoinette is widely recognised as a leading voice in Black haircare advocacy and serves as Hair Equity Lead for the British Beauty Council, where she works to identify and address barriers within the hair and beauty industry. Her mission is to make haircare more accessible while supporting hairstylists with the skills, education and confidence to excel in their craft.
Antoinette Ale, Co-founder and CEO at Tressly Studios, said: “We created Tressly Studios to redefine the experience for textured hair in the UK. For too long, specialist care has been overlooked in mainstream beauty. This space centres expertise, community and premium service, ensuring clients feel understood, celebrated and confident.”
“With so few hair salons in the UK catering to Afro and textured hair, there is a real gap for inclusive, design-led concepts. Our studio in Lewisham will be a space where artistry meets commerce meets community, and where both professionals and consumers can experience the best of textured hair, intentionally curated.”

Tressly Studios builds on the success of Tressly’s digital platform, which supports independent hairstylists in creating their own online storefronts. The Lewisham opening marks the brand’s evolution from digital infrastructure to a premium physical destination – bringing its tech-first vision into real-world impact.
Paul Redden, Centre Director at Lewisham Shopping Centre, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tressly Studios to the centre. This new opening is a fantastic addition to our diverse and inclusive retail offering, reinforcing our commitment to serving the entire community.”
“Tressly Studios is one of the first premium textured hair concept spaces in a UK shopping centre. It is part of several exciting new openings planned at Lewisham Shopping Centre this year as we strive to enhance our shopping experience. We look forward to offering visitors an even wider range of shops and services and strengthening our overall retail mix.”
Lewisham Shopping Centre is undergoing a phased redevelopment, creating a new green district, including a family park and wild meadow above a fully reimagined shopping centre. The project will introduce new public spaces, a music venue, additional shops, cafés, restaurants, and bars, creating thousands of jobs and contributing £160 million annually to the local economy.

Lewisham Shopping Centre remains firmly rooted to its long-standing presence in the town since 1997. The shopping centre continues to improve its spaces, and will remain open throughout the redevelopment, allowing visitors to continue shopping and enjoying the town centre as works progress.
