Junction 32, Yorkshire’s leading outlet shopping destination, strengthens its footwear offering by welcoming back British comfort footwear brand Hotter, which will open its outlet store at the centre this April, signalling a return to Junction 32 following its previous store at the centre six years ago.

The new 1,507 sq ft store opened on the 8th April, marking the brand’s first step back into the outlet retail channel. The store will offer Hotter’s premium range of comfort-led footwear and lifestyle products for men and women, including shoes, sandals, boots, trainers and slippers, all available at outlet prices.

Founded in 1959, Hotter Shoes is one of the UK’s largest footwear brands, leading the market in comfort footwear.  As a global leader in comfort, Hotter leverages its unique proposition of premium quality and fit, offering three different width fittings, along with full and half sizes to confidently provide a shoe for every foot.

The return of Hotter comes as Junction 32 continues to evolve its brand mix, welcoming a range of premium brands to the centre, with further openings planned in the coming months as part of its wider leasing strategy. This momentum is underpinned by a strong 2025 performance, with footfall up 3% year-on-year and sales increasing by 4%, reinforcing the centre’s appeal as a high-performing outlet destination for brands looking to drive both footfall and spend.

Selling over 1.2 million pairs of shoes annually, Hotter generates a turnover of £53 million, supported by a growing retail footprint of 36 UK stores, with further expansion planned. With a strong heritage and loyal global customer base of over 4.6 million, the brand has built significant reach within its core demographic.

As part of its continued growth strategy, Hotter is re-entering the outlet channel, with Junction 32 selected as its first outlet location. The comeback marks a renewed phase in the brand’s retail evolution alongside its existing store network and direct-to-consumer channels. Its ongoing investment in product design, technology and customer experience positions Hotter as a standout performer within the footwear sector.

Rachel Scott, Head of Leasing at Global Mutual, said: “We’re delighted to welcome back Hotter to Junction 32 as the brand launches its first return to the outlet market. As a well-established British footwear brand known for quality and comfort, Hotter is a strong addition to our retail mix, further enhancing the selection of brands available at the centre.”

Rachel Rimmer, Marketing Director at Hotter, added: “The return of our Junction 32 outlet store represents an important step in Hotter’s wider retail strategy as we continue to evolve how and where customers engage with the brand. As consumer shopping habits continue to evolve, outlet retail presents an opportunity for us to reach new audiences as we accompany the variety of market-leading brands that Junction 32 has to offer.”
