Gunnebo Entrance Control will debut its new retail portfolio at EuroShop 2026, highlighting how entrance control can address the operational and security challenges of smart retail environments.
On stand A30, Gunnebo Entrance Control will co-exhibit with Cominfo, presenting solutions tailored for high-traffic retail spaces and controlled-access areas.
At the centre of the new portfolio is NexGate, debuting at EuroShop. NexGate combines a compact, visually unobtrusive design with flexible access control options suitable for high-end stores, staff-only areas, self-checkout areas and VIP zones.
Complementing this, OverGate offers scalable entrance control across different retail formats, enabling practical operational management without disrupting the customer experience.

Says Jakub Vičík, European Marketing Manager at Gunnebo Entrance Control: “Retailers face rising theft, organised crime and in-store incidents that challenge both staff and infrastructure. At its core, store entrances are increasingly viewed as strategic spaces where security, customer flow and operational oversight intersect. Solutions like NexGate and OverGate address these challenges discreetly and flexibly, enabling a secure entrance compromising the welcoming experience of the stylish store environments.”
NexGate and OverGate have been designed to support entrances through RFID, QR codes, biometrics, or mobile applications, while remaining discreet and adaptable to store aesthetics. Glass barriers and customisable finishes allow the systems to integrate seamlessly into a variety of retail interiors, balancing functionality with design.
At EuroShop, the team will focus on practical demonstrations, showing how entrance control can integrate with store layouts, staff workflows and broader operational strategies, rather than functioning as standalone security equipment.
“As pressures on retail continue to rise, solutions need to be integrated, adaptable and maintainable over time,” Jakub added. “EuroShop is an excellent opportunity to address this, actively listen and engage directly with retailers. Together we can explore how to best support safer, more resilient operations and create a seamless and secure consumer experience.”

Gunnebo Entrance Control will be exhibiting at EuroShop 2026 on stand A30 in Hall 10, co-exhibiting with Cominfo.
