Feltrinelli is one of Italy’s leading publishers originally founded by Giangiacomo Feltrinelli in 1954. Besides publishing Feltrinelli also operate a renowned bookstore chain throughout the country.
In Milan, a new 2,000 square meter concept for la Feltrinelli bookstore has been launched. The new store is the biggest in the chain and will offer programmes including theatre, live music, open debates, lectures, and workshops. The transformation is designed to align the brand message that identifies Feltrinelly Bookstores as the “energy of culture”.
PCMV Architects have completely reorganized the space, focusing on transparency right from the entrance, eliminating the division between inside and outside. Consistently with Feltrinelli’s digital development, innovation also plays a leading role in the store: technology, interactivity and new ways of navigating the space are an integral part of the customer journey.
