EuroCIS 2022, the Trade Fair for Retail Technology, will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 15 to 17 February 2022. And it is as important as an innovation, information and community platform as ever today. Digitalisation is progressing and has already forced retail to gear up technologically for some time now to meet the needs and expectations of fully connected shoppers. But it took this year’s pandemic to build up this pressure at lightning speed. During the lockdown and beyond, the use of digital tools greatly increased in importance while physical stores with sophisticated online connections gained an advantage over other competitors and contactless payment has now become the rule rather than an exception.
