DIOR has launched two pop-ups in Mykonos, timed to open before Dior’s much anticipated next cruise collection, which will be staged in Athens on June 17, a runway show certain to generate huge attention for the Paris brand in the Greek islands.

The island will now be even more complete thanks two these ephemeral boutiques devoted to the Dioriviera capsule designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Opening the boutiques in two nerve centres of the Greek island, the house choose the centre of Chora for a single-floor pop-up and Nammos for a two-floor summer shopping emporium.

Each summer since 2017, Dior’s artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri has enjoyed breezing into tony resorts with pop-ups. Dior’s outpost in Mykonos seems a dream destination for her delicate sailor-striped tops; Mitzah scarves; tote bags and J’Adior bracelets – all illustrating her Dioriviera concept.

Using the French marque’s savoir-faire, toile de Jouy or Dior’s Oblique motif to honour ready-to-wear; leather goods; shoes and accessories all illuminated with acidic colours, as Chiuri riffs on her fondness for ’80s Fiorucci. Timeless summer essentials, as well as decorative objects by Dior Maison, will are displayed in stores, all part of the French’s brand’s summer escapism and celebration of art de Vivre.
